As many people are aware, I had a major heart attack nearly five years ago, and was diagnosed with terminal heart failure.

With the sterling aid of the contributors to SFB, the site has continued but even with that help, it’s now reached a point where I can’t devote the energy to it any longer.

For obvious reasons, I’d prefer to spend the time I have left with those I love.

The last new posting to SFB will be on Monday 3rd Aug 2026, bringing to an end 15+ years of constant news, reviews and interviews. These will remain available for the time being as a resource.

My heartfelt thanks to all who have contributed over the past 15 years – especially Brian J. Robb my cofounder, Martin  Jameson, Nick Joy and Alasdair Stuart, who have been the stalwarts of the last three years.

  1. Thank you Paul Simpson, – along with Brian J. Robb, Martin Jameson, Nick Joy and Alistair Stuart, and thank you so much for your Sci-Fi Bulletins full of constant news, reviews and interviews. – You will all be deeply missed, – as will your Sci-Fi Bulletins, – but please do take very good care of yourselves..

  2. Thankyou for some great surprise news etc over the years. There were times I’d read something and be genuinely cheered up by welcome genre news. All the very best to everyone.

    • It’s been great fun – my motto (from DreamWatch days in 95 onwards) has been to provide the sort of magazine or site that I wanted to read!
