Titan Comics, out now

It’s 2029 and Yotun’s army has taken control of the LAPD building. With a rejuvenated body, Ash rushes to rescue Freysa.

There’s a real sense of Die Hard in this instalment of the Blade Runner sequel comic book series, as Ash strides in to battle to rescue her lover from villain inside a building that’s under siege. It’s carnage in police HQ, with bodies everywhere – and the police are spread thin because they are responding to attacks that Yotun orchestrated across the city.

But the Replicant leader is not firing on all cylinders – he needs fuel from the most unlikely of sources. When Ash makes her entrance, 58 floors down from Yotun, he’s preaching his gospel on giant viewscreens, but he hadn’t counted on Freysa’s intervention. It’s a thrilling chapter that flies by in no time, setting up even more cause for Ash to take Yotun down.

Verdict: What’s great about this consistently excellent comic is the way that it has established its own identity within the iconic Blade Runner universe, introducing rich new characters and situations that fit perfectly into the mythos. 8/10
