The Doctor and her Fam have tracked the Stilean Flesh Eaters through history from 1500s Europe to 1700s North Carolina, but what is the connection to a popular travel podcast that everyone is listening to?

With the Time Agency stepping in to the picture from the opening frame it’s nice to get some continuity with the involvement of Schulz and Perkins from the first four issues of this series. While it’s been a couple of months since we (and the TARDIS crew) last saw them, 10 years have passed in their own timeline, and they aren’t quite as morally aligned with the Doctor as she’d have liked.

On many ways this is the difficult third episode where we really need the teases that have built up in the first two to start paying off. And they do, to a degree, though we’re none the wiser about the mysterious podcast that everyone’s raving about – is the joke about the Doctor being jealous wearing a little thin now? – and Graham/Yaz/Ryan don’t have a lot to do beyond making cheeky asides or observations.

Verdict: I’m really enjoying artist Roberta Ingranata’s new interpretations of the cast, and the running through forests with dialogue ‘’on the go’ does seem authentic. There’s just a lot to be addressed in the final instalment – if indeed Issue 8 is the conclusion – and I hope it doesn’t wrap up too neatly, too quickly. 7/10
