When a medium brings some of their victims back to “life”, the gang start to realise the real meaning of life – and death…

One of those episodes that you really don’t want spoiled before you see it, this final episode of Misfits’ third season could easily be a series-closer – and indeed, hopefully the producers will think long and hard before deciding whether to go ahead with a fourth year or not.

A number of returning guest stars get an opportunity to show different sides to the characters that they created in earlier series – as the throw-forward at the end of episode seven indicated, the probation workers are back (or at least some of them)  as well a certain brainwashing goody two-shoes. They’re used to throw a different light on some of our heroes – and to bring home to them the fact that death isn’t something to be taken lightly.

There have been times during this series of Misfits that it’s seemed as life has been rather cheap – even the continuity announcer on E4 made a joke about one of the probation officers’ death scenes. This finale more than sets the record straight in a way that has been foreshadowed for some time.

All the regular cast are given a chance to shine, and if this truly is the end, then Misfits goes out on a high, dramatically and emotionally.  8/10
