An agoraphobic young man hacks the webcams of young women and suspects that one of them is a serial killer.

Writer/director Ramin Niami’s psychological thriller owes more than a little to Rear Window in its tale of an unwitting witness to a murder, but it’s an exciting ride, carried by two strong leads.

Henry (Dakota Shapiro) and Eric (Luke Cook, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) share an apartment, the latter always being behind on his rent, waiting for his big break as an actor. But Henry is a voyeur, spending his day spying on six young women by hacking into their webcams. One offers online sexual encounters while the others are oblivious that the webcam is showing their (often mundane) lives to a stranger. Henry has many issues, going back to his Father, and he genuinely thinks he’s doing nothing wrong, lurking on the internet.

One day, Henry sees one of his women drugging and dragging away a companion before serving him up at an elaborate dinner. He shares this shocking discovery with Eric and notifies the police just in time to save the next victim. Unfortunately, the killer turns the tables on Eric, and seeks to catch him – but will she know where he lives?

Verdict: A well-made, pacy thriller, and even if the scenario is nothing new, the execution is a welcome variation on the theme. 7/10
