Minogue and O’Leary tackle a half-bird, half-human that’s been stealing shiny objects from around Wellington, including the ‘W’ from the Wellington sign.

Lord help us – Officers Minogue and O’Leary are back on the beat! Wellington’s inept police department are again under the spotlight in this fly-on-the-wall comedy spinoff of What We Do in the Shadows, this time trying to capture a giant avian beast with the face of a woman.

As always, the best jokes are the little throwaway lines, and I was hooting at Minogue mansplaining what mansplaining is. Also that he had sacrificed his collection of shiny Andre Rieu CDs as bait to capture the creature.

Verdict: Welcome nonsense in an increasingly serious world. You wouldn’t want them looking after you, but these helpless coppers are a joy to follow. 8/10
