With all the members of the Doll Hunt dead, Elle still needs to identify a final mystery person from her past.

The animated Blade Runner spin-off takes its foot off the pedal again after an exciting previous episode. The rogue Replicant and her saviour Joseph are reflecting on what she needs to do next, because she still has a memory that just won’t shift.

Most of the half hour is spent in flashback as Joseph recalls his time as a Blade Runner, when he had to ‘retire’ a Replicant night club singer. The detective would visit her night after night, unable to commit the fatal act, giving us some insight into why he is sympathetic to Elle. By the end of the episode, the identity of the tattoo artist is clarified, setting up (another) final kill.

Verdict: An oddly paced episode with ideas that might have sat better earlier in the run. With three episodes still to go, a clear path towards the conclusion is apparent. 7/10
