Los Angeles 2029, and Ash has been outed as a double-agent working for the Replicant underground by Blade Runner Marlowe and arrested by the LAPD.

Arrested and being moved to another precinct, Ash has an unlikely ally to help her. This frees her up to track down Yotun, who has gone back home. But how can a Replicant have a home, unless he has very special memories.

This Blade Runner sequel has, like its predecessor Blade Runner 2019, been a joy from start to finish. Its greatest triumph has been in taking the characters introduced in 2019 and moving them to the next level. A beautifully-paced plot by Mike Johnson, giving us what we need as we need it, together with Andres Guinaldo’s Spinner-packed panels, create a worthy conclusion to the series.

Verdict: Leaving Black Lotus and comic book stablemate Blade Runner: Origins in the dust, this is the gold standard Blade Runner spin(ner)-off. And final series 2039 is on its way! 9/10
