Lying isn’t your strong suit, Scott.

I dared you to make me care, La Brea, and I’ve got to hand it to you, I really did care this week. But Scott needs to stay in his lane, sneakiness isn’t working for him.

There are two main centres of action this week – at the quarry where Eve and Levi are captives; and back at the clearing base camp, where a break down in inter-community negotiations puts everyone at risk. We have some contrived sub-team forming, unforming and reforming and I’m very over that guy with the glasses and long hair, he really needs to stop whinging.

Eve is finally reunited with Gavin, but of course it’s a little strained – what a shame she just rekindled her romance with Levi last week, that’s really bad timing (insert side-eye emoji here). It gets worse, as Gavin declares to Eve that he wants them to start again, and she notes that he’s more the man she met… oh dear. It’s a good job Gavin’s childhood memory is slowly drip-feeding important things back to him. That’s really good timing (insert… you get the point).

There are some decent inter-personal moments too, and some interesting feelings coming to the surface. A couple of long-awaited reunions save this episode and as the credits roll, I’m feeling happy.

Verdict: A lovely moment to end on… before the stuff has to be cleaned from the fan. 7/10
