Titan Comics, out now
Los Angeles 2039 and Niander Wallace has sent his creation Luv to the estate of industrialist Alexander Selwyn.
After being unexpectedly overcome by Hythe’s security, Luv prepares a return visit to collect Selwyn’s secret files. Ash, meanwhile, is catching up with an old colleague, concerned that there’s now a Replicant Blade Runner tracking down Replicants.
As we’ve come to expect, Johnson’s plot is teased out on a need-to-know basis, accompanied by Guinaldo’s detailed panels, bringing us new variations on familiar locales. It’s a cracking story, peppered with returning characters.
Verdict: We’re only three issues in, but because this series is so rich in its legacy characters, we’re already fully immersed in this high-octane thriller. 9/10
