Waiting for rescue to arrive, the campers need to find a base…

Nothing from the outside world yet, but the teenagers find plenty to occupy themselves. They end up back where they started, and then split up, Yaz and Kenji remaining at the remains of their old camp while the others search for medical supplies. They stay separated for the large part of the rest of the episode, with Darius, Brooklynn and Sammy finding a veterinary compound, leading to an interesting take on some ideas discussed towards the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Meanwhile Kenji and Yas end up learning more about each other, and their respective strengths and weaknesses – there’s very nice animation particularly of Yas’s facial expressions. That’s actually noticeable throughout the episode: the storytelling isn’t all done through dialogue, with some moments where you can see the wheels spinning metaphorically in the characters’ minds. (OK, and then of course there are the odd few moments where things have to be said to hammer the episode’s point home!)

Verdict: This continues to impress, building the characters well, and moving the plot forward steadily. 8/10
