A life on the… big wet waves.

There are such interesting themes brought together each week on Strange Planet. This week it’s trust, specifically in the workplace, and the anxieties of a soon-to-be ‘empty-nester’.

The award for best ‘hyper-literal name for something prosaic’ this week goes to the excellent human who came up with ‘jitter liquid’ for coffee. We stay with our trusty crew at Careful Now, as our new recruit learns the ropes, hoping to impress his new boss with his pancake machine skills and ability to cope in a crisis when she’s stuck on the wrong side of some undefined body of water. Stuck, that is, with a broken-down ferry, a helicopter Mum taking her offspring to college and a very dodgy boat captain who offers to ‘rescue’ them all. What could go wrong?

Cue wisdom in the face of parental smothering, learning to trust in adversity, and standing on your own two feet. Albeit, on a pancake-covered floor… well, we can’t have everything.

I’m rooting for these folks.

Verdict: If I’d come for the free coffee and got pancakes instead, I’d riot. I’m still giving this a good score though. 8/10
