Nowhere Boys 4Andy tries to persuade his family of the truth, and then comes up with a new theory that is going to be extremely dangerous to test…

There are some lighter moments in this episode, as Andy and his father occasionally bond during the conversation as the teenager tries to convince his family that he really does belong to them (and once again, his mother has a severe physical reaction to his talking about being there), but overall the seriousness of the four boys’ situation is starting to take a toll on them, particularly in the aftermath of the storm.

The end of the episode is inadvertently funny in a different way – after Andy saves a girl’s life, the quartet race back into the bushes, followed by cries that are highly reminiscent of the old Lone Ranger series (“Who was that masked man?”). It seems the boys won’t be able to stay hidden for long.

A magic shop may hold some answers – if Felix can get to the information he thinks he needs there – but we’re now nearly two hours into the series, and it would probably be a good idea if we started to get something solid. Is there a magical or a scientific explanation for events?

Verdict: A slightly talky first half followed by some well-cut action at the end. 7/10
