Hopefully not down with this sort of thing.

I dare you to read the title of this episode without even thinking of Father Ted.

The opening scene this time has next to nothing to do with the rest of this week’s instalment, but that in itself is so funny! It puts its money where its mouth is in terms of expressing the idea that when you expect life to give you a certain thing, that’s exactly when it’ll take you down a different path.

There’s some continuation here this time as we stay in the restaurant where we met our fledgeling couple last week. It’s a restaurant perched precariously over a cliff that boasts fabulous views but could plummet down into the ocean at any point, allegedly. Flipping brilliantly named!

Embracing new opportunities and taking a chance on others when their chips are down are the themes, strongly supported by loyalty and good old fashioned hard graft. The eccentricities and small victories in life are so often what gives our existence its beauty.

Verdict: When one door closes… check the window that opens isn’t on the ocean-facing side of the room. 8/10
