Well, this is awkward.

Naturally, the sight of an unknown object falling through the big crack in the sky brings excitement and fear to our gang of reluctant explorers. I’d follow that crash-site smoke trail too but I wouldn’t expect to find what they do.

The younger members of the gang made this particular episode for me. Oh Riley, sweetly trying to give Scott some credit for his help in saving her father from paralysis, when she’s potentially digging his grave with every word. It might make you cringe along with Scott, but it’s still darkly amusing.

Going back to that crash site, isn’t it fortunate that Levi stumbled in the right direction towards the woman he loves and her new friends? It’s even more fortunate that after a dramatic crash landing, the aeroplane was almost intact and could potentially be salvaged. I smell a plot contrived a little too unrealistically… but then I like Jane Eyre so I can’t knock off too many points for that.

It’s Eve I feel for, with the bombshells that are all lobbed in her direction. Insert the ‘awkward meme’ of your choice here! As if they’ve not got enough on their plate, then there’s another unexpected twist – are we close to getting some answers about some of the strange features that have been found?

Verdict: Some narratively convenient coincidences stretch the limits of imagination. 7/10
