Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

William Wisher passed away earlier this week. Wisher is a vital part of modern cinematic genre fiction. He was one of the writers on The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. His ability to marry action with character and invention was extraordinary and he’ll be sorely missed.

If you want to see what Wisher was capable of, we’d recommend so many of his movies. The first two Terminators are a must but if you want to play around with his less well known work, we’d highly recommend The 13th Warrior. Adapted from the Michael Crichton novel of the same name, it’s a Viking action thriller with a great cast and the best ‘learning a language’ scene in Western cinematic history.
