Monty Norman, who wrote The James Bond Theme that has appeared in every official James Bond movie since 1962, has died aged 94.

Norman was best known as a musicals writer when he was brought into the first Bond movie, Dr. No, by Cubby Broccoli, and reworked a song, Bad Sign Good Sign, to be used to characterise 007.

His other genre compositions included songs for The Two Faces of Dr Jekyll and beatnik music for The Day The Earth Caught Fire,
