The 1990s UNIT team are back in the second Brave New World box set of full-cast audio dramas, due for release in December 2022 by Big Finish .

Brigadier Winifred Bambera (Angela Bruce) — who made her Doctor Who TV debut in 1989’s Battlefield — returns for an epic showdown with dangerous monsters striving to take over Earth!

Also returning for three brand-new adventures are Bambera’s right-hand man Sergeant Jean-Paul Savarin (Alex Jordan) and tough scientific advisor, Dr Louise Rix (Yemisi Oyinloye).

The countdown to the millennium begins. New dangers face Brigadier Winifred Bambera, Sergeant Jean-Paul Savarin and Dr Louise Rix – some manmade, some uncanny, and some from beyond this world. To defeat them they must stand together… or there’ll be no tomorrow.

Producer Emily Cook added: “While each episode of UNIT – Brave New World is a stand-alone story, there is an overarching thread – an overarching threat – running through volume two. It was exciting plotting the development of this. We ramp up the tension with these next three stories. Our trio will be pushed to their limit.

“We really play with the audio medium in this set, too. Like the original The Blair Witch Project movie was ‘found-footage’ horror, we have a story that is a kind of ‘found-audio’ style tale, which might be the creepiest Big Finish audio you’ve ever heard…”
