Nigel Kneale’s centenary on April 28th (not the 18th) is being marked in multiple ways this month, with the release of the BFI edition of the BBC’s Nineteen Eighty Four on April 11th.
Radio Four Extra is contributing to this with a repeat of Matthew Graham’s adaptation of The Stone Tape on Saturday April 16th at 18.00 and midnight, and Toby Hadoke’s new version of The Road the following day, Sunday April 17th at 18.00 and midnight. The latter will be followed by a short new documentary by Hadoke at 1845/0045.
