Stuart Damon, best known to genre fans as Craig Stirling on The Champions, has died aged 84.
Damon was more widely known for his long running appearance on the American soap opera General Hospital – in which he also played the ghost of his character. His other genre work included UFO and Space: 1999 as well as The New Avengers.

I first saw Stuart Damon in the Thriller episode Nightmare For A Nightingale, where he costarred with Susan Flannery. It was a very good first impression and he will be greatly missed.
