With production now underway, HBO has released the first official photos from House of the Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel.

Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Rhys Ifans and Steve Toussaint feature in the shots from the opening week’s shoot in Cornwall.

Paddy Considine plays King Viserys Targaryen, Cooke stars as Alicent Hightower, D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen and Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon, known as the Sea Snake, who becomes Hand to Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen during the Dance of the Dragons.
