After stepping down from the Willow TV series, John M. Chu has been tapped to direct the adaptation of the Broadway and West End hit Wicked for Universal.

Deadline are reporting that the Stephen Schwartz musical will finally be heading before the cameras after Stephen Daldry stepped down because of the proposed time frame.
