Judi Trott’s Maid Marian is at the heart of Jennifer Ash’s new Robin of Sherwood audio, out now from Spiteful Puppet, and reviewed today by Alasdair Stuart.

Judi Trott is superb as Marian, grounded and pragmatic, kind and perceptive and a very different kind of heroine for a story like this. In truth, she’s the exact heroine that this sort of story cries out for and Trott carries the story with determination and ease.

The story also features Ian Ogilvy reprising his role as the Earl of Huntingdon, with producer and director Barnaby Eaton-Jones as the titular Fitzwarren.
