The latest trailer for the first of the new standalone Star Wars movies was aired in the US during the Olympics coverage on August 11.
“Are you with me?” “All the way.” A group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. With music that riffs off John Williams’ classic scores, and appearances by most of the cast, this sets the scene in the trailer first shown at the Star Wars Celebration last month. Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, and Alan Tudyk star as the members of the strike force; Ben Mendelsohn plays the film’s Imperial heavy, and Mads Mikkelsen, and Jonathan Aris also appear.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story arrives in theaters December 16, 2016.
