The Marvel panel began with Black Panther: joining Chadwick Boseman will be Lupita Nyong’o, as Nakia; Creed star Michael B Jordan as the villain Killmonger; and The Walking Dead‘s Danai Gurira as Okoye. The movie will be released on February 16, 2018.
The next movie, however, will be Doctor Strange, with Benedict Cumberbatch making an appearance at Comic-Con to promote the new trailer – which shows that the film will be totally unlike any other MCU film so far (mostly – New York seems to be coming in for yet another battering!)
Looking ahead, Brie Larson was confirmed as Captain Marvel for the movie which will now be released in March 2019, and a trailer was shown for the latest Spider-Man reboot (although this is a Comic-Con exclusive at present: we’ll post it once it’s released!)
The new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer is also on hold for general release, but director James Gunn confirmed that Kurt Russell is playing Star Lord’s father – who turns out to be [highlight for spoiler] Ego, the Living Planet
A new theme park ride based on Guardians of the Galaxy will see Benecio del Toro reprising his role as the Collector. Details in the video below:
