Genre films and TV shows dominated the Teen Choice Awards, held at Universal City’s Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday August 7.

The two parts of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows scored seven awards between them,  with Part 1 hailed as Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movie, and Part 2 as  Choice Movie of the Summer. Emma Watson won both Choice Summer Movie and Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy Actress, while co-star Daniel Radcliffe was Choice Summer Movie Actor, and the pair shared Choice Liplock! Tom Felton, currently starring in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, was Choice Movie Villain, and special tribute was paid to the whole saga with a sequence of clips from alll eight films.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse provided wins for Taylor Lautner as Choice Sci-Fi Fantasy Actor, while co-star Robert Pattinson was Choice Drama Actor and Choice Vampire. Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene won the respective awards for Choice Scene-Stealer.

Choice Scene-Stealer also provided two wins for The Vampire Diaries in the television category for Michael Trevino and Katerina Graham. Stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev were the Choice Actor and Actress in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy category and the series won Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy show.
