Of note are a couple of things – this provides some much needed space for the clones to express themselves in a space where they’re not under threat. It’s a pleasure to see them tinkering and squabbling, talking and playing without threats sitting over their heads.
It’s also nice to see Omega getting to know each of them. At times the clones have come across as cardboard but this season is giving us a bit more of what makes them tick (especially beyond Hunter whose brooding countenance has been explored before).
In some ways this catches the joys of the Saturday morning feel of Star Wars and provides some respite from the grimdark nature of the galaxy under the empire.
Verdict: A nice break but I’m itching to get back to the bigger stuff.
