Supernatural series The Omega Factor is making a return at Big Finish in a feature length special at Halloween.

Original series star Louise Jameson reprises her role as Anne Reynolds, head of Department 7, a secret government organisation dedicated to researching the psychic abilities of humans and the paranormal.

Also returning is John Dorney as Adam Crane. Now a successful podcaster, Adam has long since left the Department behind… until an unlikely meeting with Anne leads to the investigation of an old, spooky house.

Based on the 1979 BBC television series created by Jack Gerson, The Omega Factor: The House That Wasn’t Haunted, by Tim Foley, is due for release in October 2023.

This two-hour audio movie special guest stars Philip Hurd-Wood, Selina Cadell and Reice Weathers. Please note: this release contains adult material and may not be suitable for younger listeners.

Producer David Richardson said: “Working on three box sets of The Omega Factor was one of my favourite gigs at Big Finish, and so when executive producers Jason Haigh-Ellery and Nicholas Briggs asked for a special one off ‘audio movie’ for Halloween 2023, I couldn’t resist the prospect of returning to the characters of Anne and Adam.

“Script editor Rob Valentine and I said to writer Tim Foley, ‘Pitch us an idea’, and he sent through a storyline so clever and terrifying that we instantly set him to work on his typewriter. Make sure you listen to this in the dark.”
