Dean Stockwell, star of Quantum Leap, has died aged 85.
The American actor was best known to genre fans for his role as Al Calavicci opposite Scott Bakula in the four season show. Other genre credits include The Twilight Zone (1960s and 80s incarnations), Mission: Impossible, The Dunwich Horror, Night Gallery, The Werewolf of Washington, Blue Velvet, The Time Guardian, Captain Planet and the Planeteers, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, The Langoliers, Batman Beyond: The Return of the Joker, Star Trek: Enterprise, Stargate SG1, The Dunwich Horror, Battlestar Galactica and the original cinematic version of Dune, in which he played Dr Yueh.
