VictoriaAccording to reliable reports on Twitter, despite the information given below, the press conference was in fact held at lunchtime on October 10th, with the information embargoed until midnight. Sci-Fi Bulletin will be posting the news at midnight UK time (7 pm East Coast; 4 pm West Coast).

The Missing Episodes saga continues with the news that Patrick Troughton’s colleagues Frazer Hines and Deborah Watling will be on hand for the BBC’s official announcement of the return of Doctor Who stories previously lost from the archive.

According to Watling’s official website,

Deborah, along with Frazer Hines, will be helping the BBC to launch the newly found Dr. Who episodes this Thurs (10/10/13), betwwen (sic) 3.30pm and 7.00pm approx.”

The Web of Fear and The Enemy of the World are two of the stories most commonly cited as being part of the find – although there will be many fans who hope that Watling’s farewell story, Fury from the Deep has also turned up.

Anything from two to nine episodes are rumoured to be on the verge of release, with many believing that far more have been found. A press conference set for 8 October was pushed back two days, possibly to avoid conflict with a major speech by the BBC’s Director General on the same day.

Update: According to messages on their twitter feed, @telegraph_TV were planning on providing a live twitter feed from the press conference. Unfortunately they have now been told this is not possible.

Update Thursday: Various sources have informed us that there will be an embargo on the contents of the press conference for “a few hours”. The details are therefore not expected to be available until either midnight tonight, or first thing tomorrow UK time.
