The latest continuation of the Exorcist franchise doesn’t really bring anything new to the table – certainly not a follow on to the TV series:

In common with his Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, David Gordon Green adds nothing of value with his take on The Exorcist.

  1. The negative reviews on The Exorcist: Believer I’ve been learning about are depressing news for this Halloween season. But knowing all the troubles with continuations in the past, even though Exorcist III was still a pretty good impression (and the first Exorcist film I fully saw), we must all come to terms with how unlikely it can often be to recapture the magic of the originals. At least Ellen Burstyn was willing to take a chance on a sequel for the first time. That can say a lot and I respect her greatly for that.
