BBC Studios has confirmed that the animated version of The Underwater Menace will rise to the surface on November 13, 10 days before Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary.
The animation, directed by AnneMarie Walsh, will be released on Blu-ray and DVD, as well as in steelbook.
As well as the new version, the two-disc set includes:
Episode 1 – Reconstruction
Episodes 2 & 3 – Original 1967 Episode
Episode 4 – Reconstruction
A Fishy Tale – Making of Documentary
Australian Censor Clips
The Man from Miditz
Frazer Hines Introduction for Episode 2 as per the original VHS release

Great to see the Underwater Menace finally getting some proper animated episodes. The original release for this story on DVD was rather sparse, so this will be a great addition to the collection.
