There’s the most unusual crossover coming to Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ second season, with characters from the animated 24th century show turning up!

Anson Mount revealed the news when Lower Decks  stars Tawny Newsome and Jack Quaid crashed his portion of the “Star Trek” universe panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

In this special crossover episode, featuring both live-action and animation, fans can expect to see Ensign Beckett Mariner, voiced by Tawny Newsome, and Ensign Brad Boimler, voiced by Jack Quaid, from Lower Decks, joining the U.S.S. Enterprise. The episode will be directed by actor and director Jonathan Frakes.
