Tremors and Remo Williams star Fred Ward has died, aged 79.
Ward appeared in various 1970s episodic shows, including a couple of episodes of The Incredible Hulk, before his first major genre role as Gus Grissom in The Right Stuff. He starred as Remo Williams in Remo: Unarmed and Dangerous, before playing Earl Bass in the first two Tremors movies. He also appeared in the Invasion Earth TV series as well as The Crow: Salvation.

My favourite film with Fred Ward was the 1988 Vietnam mystery thriller Off Limits. He was an impressive actor and he will be greatly missed.
