The Batman HBO Max showrunner Joe Barton may be entering the Cloverfield universe.
THR is reporting that Bad Robot are hoping to continue the series, which began with Matt Reeves’ Cloverfield back in 2008 with a new script by Barton, whose Invasion SF movie is already completed. No details on the plot have been revealed, but it’s expected not to be in the found footage format of the first film.

Only the 1st of the 3 previous films is “found footage”. It is not a film series made all in this style.
