Justin Cronin’s apocalyptic trilogy which began with The Passage is heading to Fox.
The network has given a pilot production commitment to the adaptation written by Liz Heden and directed by Cloverfield’s Matt Reeves for Scott Free Productions. The trilogy starts as a conspiracy thriller before becoming a post-apocalyptic saga with a new take on vampires. It centres on Amy, a young girl who will be the saviour of the human race.
Scott Free became involved with the project before the first book was published, with the intention of turning it into a feature film. Instead, in the wake of The Walking Dead and The Strain, it is hoped it will become a TV series.
