Merlin may have vanished from the Saturday night schedules, but a time of myth and magic hasn’t vanished altogether. The BBC has commissioned a thirteen-episode series Atlantis from Howard Overman, produced by ‘the two Js’, Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy.
“The city of Atlantis is a mysterious, ancient place; a world of bull leaping, of snake haired goddesses and of palaces so vast it was said they were built by giants,” says the BBC.
“It’s into this strange, compelling realm that the young Jason arrives and an amazing adventure begins, bringing to life the vast store of Greek myths and legends re-imagined for a new generation in an action packed 13-part series.”
It will film in Morocco and Wales from April for an autumn broadcast.
This is not Merlin so I for one will not be watching. WE WANT MERLIN BACK ON SATURDAY NIGHTS
