Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

According to an exclusive report at Deadline, Syfy is working with 007 director Martin Campbell on his reboot of the classic British sci-fi series Blake’s 7.

The network has given the project a script-to-series commitment, Deadline notes, which means that if Syfy like Heroes’ Joe Polaski’s script for the pilot, they will greenlight a 13 episode run.

The project was being shopped around American networks last month by Georgeville Television who acquired the rights from B7 Media.

There is no word yet as to how this will affect the current revival of the classic show by Big Finish, although it would suggest that there will be no further adventures in the audio reboot that was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 Extra.
