The CW has given an early pick-up to two of its success stories: Supernatural, which will go into an eighth season of monster-hunting adventures for the Winchester brothers, and The Vampire Diaries, entering its fourth year.

The official press release simply calls Supernatural a “fan favourite,” and hails The Vampire Diaries as “bloody good drama” which is the network’s top-rated show. The CW also renewed 90210 for season five.

No word yet has been given on the fate of The Secret Circle.
