The mansion gets a makeover

An absolute joy from start to finish. A high concept show with an absolute zinger of an idea – what If the vampires’ mansion had a makeover in the style of one of those cheesy American reality shows? And of course it works as a reality show because this is already the format of this series, but this time including all the awful puns, on-screen graphics, fake fade-outs and pretend dramas.

Laszlo is a big fan of Go Flip Yourself with the Daltry Brothers, and is thrilled when a crew arrive to fix-up the house. It’s not long before Nadja has bitten one of the siblings, the crew have been hypnotised and the walls are getting knocked down. There’s even in-screen adverts for the next show – Foreclose This! – and that’s before we’re treated to a killer twist.

Verdict: ‘This house is all kinds of Frank Lloyd-Wrong!’ A perfect episode which shows a wonderful understanding of daytime TV. 10/10
