An old flame returns and an ancient vehicle is resurrected.

Just where is Nandor going when he slips out of the vampire residence, when he’s meant to be helping update the website? His housemates follow him and discover that he’s been having secret liaisons in hotel bedrooms with a former lover, Gail (Aida Turturro, The Sopranos).

Nadja thinks this is a very bad idea – she’s seen Nandor get his heart broken on multiple occasions – but could this really be the time for him to propose, turn her into a vampire and live with her for eternity? What do you think? True to form, Gail has a big secret that’s likely to create tension.

Elsewhere, Laszlo and Colin get to spend time together in the archives of the Vampire Council, where the former finds his old car that was confiscated off him. The problem is that if they are to get the car out they’ll need to dismantle it, part by part, with typical chaos in their wake.

Verdict: Not as accomplished as the opening two episodes, but it’s always a joy to spend time in the company of these idiots. 7/10
