Officers Minogue and O’Leary must protect a dazed and confused woman from what may or may not be a werewolf. They realize too late that the monster is closer than they think – and it’s in heat.

Responding to call from a pizza delivery guy, reporting that he was attacked by a dog in jeans, Minogue and O’Leary fail to make the connection that this is probably a lycanthrope. An obvious clue is that the vegetarian pizza was untouched. They’re pretty pleased with themselves when they think they’ve saved the next victim, but we’re already way ahead of them and can only roll our eyes as they protect the beast herself.

The comedy drama ramps up when hairy Sheena realises that she’s been infected by her boyfriend Dion (Cohen Holloway, his character coming over from sister show What We Do in the Shadows) and wants revenge. Don’t worry, Wellington’s finest have it all under control… possibly.

Verdict: Another classic monster joins Wellington’s bestiary, promoting jokes about dog owner smell and taking turns with a phaser. Gentle, knowing fun. 8/10
