Four teenage friends take out their Yale-bound friend for one last celebration party and some babysitting takes a sinister turn.

The next two tales in the CW’s anthology series continue in the vein of the first two, namely as fun EC Comics-style yarns rather than dipping into any of the social commentary of the previous series.

In Toxic, some obnoxious friends pretty much get what’s coming to them after relentlessly prankish their friend Pete. They’re just vile people and when they inevitably get their comeuppance there’s no sympathy for them. In Teatime, a babysitter is preyed upon by a terrifying little girl and her collection of customised dolls. Honestly, I’d have run for the hills the second I met the weird parents.

Verdict: Simple horror stories with twists that play out as expected, but apart from some minor chills, they’re very formulaic. 6/10
