The manager of a fulfilment centre tries to keep productivity up during a deadly virus outbreak and a student checks in on his estranged sister on the anniversary of their parents’ death.

You know when your parcel arrives with damaged goods and you wonder just what happened in the warehouse? This Two Sentence Horror instalment, Quota, provides an answer, taking a very timely concern (currently we’re all more reliant on online purchases) and adds the even more prescient issue of a deadly virus. Just what are the sick workers leaking into your package?

We’re expected to believe that a factory really could lock its workers in – I think fire safety legislation would have something to say about this – but once you’re on board, it’s a fun 20 minutes of infected workers chasing down the boss. Dawn of the DHL if you like.

The stronger instalment is Fix, a genuinely creepy tale of a young man trying to make amends with his estranged sister, having abandoned her when she started taking drugs. She professes to be clean of narcotics, and instead has a greater challenge – being possessed by a demon!

Kevin Alves is suitably twitchy as the troubled Jackson, but it’s Nicole Munoz (Van Helsing) as possessed Sophia who earns the greater plaudits for her scary diabolical transformation. And the ending really isn’t the one you expect.

Verdict: Another strong pairing of effective horror takes, oozing with creativity… and zombie dribble. 8/10
