Flying high after his war games win, General Naird comes crashing back to reality when he learns there may be a spy in Space Force.

It really seems to be the case that Space Force is following the pattern of the Star Trek movies – odd ones bad, even ones good – such is the up and down nature of episodes, and the good news is that this is an even. Interviewed by Stars and Stripes magazine after his win against the Air Force in the Space Tag match, Naird is even rewarded with a conjugal visit to his incarcerated wife. But then the Indian space agency is spotted launching a rocket that looks very similar to Space Force’s, suggesting a mole in their ranks.

A B-plot following the search for an appropriate birthday present for POTUS never really takes off, the main thrust being Naird and Mallory interviewing their team members to try to uncover the spy. Secrets are uncovered as we get to find out more about each of the characters, and while the ultimate resolution is not that much of a surprise, the journey is fun.

Verdict: With a focus on character and some amusing moments of reflection, this episode is less of a space farce than usual. 7/10
