The family devolves into more violence as both the competition and the infighting continue, leading to bloody results.

The horror continues as the survivors fights for the Galloway fortune, first discovering some grisly remains buried in the sand, with a crab crawling over the face of the corpse. The show has never shied away from the aftermath of its many grisly deaths, frequently using the mangled remains as a spur to motivate the actions of the remaining family members.

This time, Galloway pits the remaining castaways against one another in a vicious game of paintball, though of course the pellets aren’t regular paint capsules but rubber bullets. This is demonstrated when one poor participant gets a bullet point blank in her eye socket. Unusually, no one actually dies this week, though one member of the party is hung out to dry following her appalling actions. If the killer gets her, then she’s innocent, but if she survives the night then she’s the animal they believe her to be.

Verdict: The survivors on Galloway’s island are tired and fed up; they want to bring the game to an end, whatever the cost. As a social experiment, it’s fascinating, and as ghoulish entertainment, you can’t take your eyes (or singular) off the screen. 8/10
