Carlton Books, out now

Make your allegiance clear with these new masks…

With everything that’s going on in the seventh season of Game of Thrones, it’s never been a better time to show to whom your loyalty lies (for this week at least). Carlton Books have released a quartet of 3D masks that can be used either as masks for roleplay or as wall decorations.

The masks come in book form, and it’s a simple matter of pressing them out, and gluing or taping them together as clearly indicated. Chances are you’re more likely to want to use them as masks rather than decorations (after a few times repositioning it, we gave up on keeping the House Stark Direwolf on the wall, although a stronger mount than one that’s provided would probably do the trick) and they’re certainly intricately detailed enough to be more than simply a topic of conversation.

The books also usefully provide brief information about the four featured items – there’s a House Lannister Lion, a House Targaryen Dragon and a White Walker as well as the Direwolf – for those who haven’t yet succumbed to the lures of Westeros, so they understand what it is they’re wearing.

Verdict: An unusual addition to the Game of Thrones line. 7/10
