Titan, out now
The Fugitive Doctor and Taslo seek to uncover the truth about the colonists.
Titan’s Fugitive Doctor series starts promisingly with a bit of misdirection. The Doctor and Taslo are reporting to Division that they have destroyed the colonists, per their instructions. This is of course a big bluff to try to smoke out who’s behind the genocidal plot. The time travellers are rewarded with further hideouts to annihilate and discover that there’s a common theme linking the colonies.
But after the initial intrigue, there’s still not an awful lot going on here, with page after page labouring what surely should be a few panels. There’s a decent enough story in here, it just doesn’t have the legs to be a four-part series.
Verdict: You’ll fly through this in no time. Not because it’s so gripping, it’s just that there’s not a lot here. 5/10
