Titan Comics, out now
The Doctor and her fam are in London in 1969. The Time Lord has discovered Martha Jones while the fam have been ambushed by Weeping Angels!
There’s great fun to be had in this third issue of Titan’s Tenth/Thirteenth Doctor crossover series, but you can’t help think that if you took away some of the running around and large splash panels we might have got here a lot sooner. It’s Issue 3 but only now have the Doctors finally met, each converging on the TARDIS having escaped from a different monster.
The dialogue and artwork are spot-on, and of course it all whizzes along at a cracking speed, but I suspect this will work best as a graphic novel – there’s just not enough going on in each instalment.
Verdict: What’s not to love in a Tenth/Thirteenth crossover? But is this being treated as the event it should be or just a bit of a missed opportunity? 7/10
