Los Angeles 2039 and Ash has returned to the mean streets of Los Angeles in search of answers, only to find Rash, her lethal Replicant clone, waiting for her.

And so the big push begins as we move in to the final four-episode arc of the Blade Runner comic book series that will link directly into movie Blade Runner 2049.

As we’ve come to expect from the other instalments, writer Mike Johnson has a few surprises up his sleeve, slipping in legacy characters and links to previous stories, but still just teasing enough to keep us wanting more. The art by Andres Guinaldo is of course excellent, adding that extra layer of authenticity to ensure that the comic is on brand.

Verdict: It’s the beginning of the end, with promises of great stuff ahead. 8/10
